How to grow moong bean microgreens
Soak 6–8 hours. Use a bowl with plenty of water — the beans swell.
Sow 40–50 g per 10×10 tray. Spread in an even layer over moist cocopeat.
Keep dark for 2–3 days. Cover the tray, ideally with light weight on top for straight stems.
Move to light. Indirect sunlight or windowsill, at 20–32°C.
Harvest at 2–3 inches. Usually day 5–7 — cut just above the base.
Timings are starting estimates. Results vary with seed density, growing medium, temperature, light and watering. Read the full growing guide →

Questions growers ask
How many trays will one pack grow?
At 40–50 g per 10×10 tray, a 100 g pack sows about 2 trays and a 300 g pack about 6–7 trays.
How are moong microgreens different from sprouts?
Sprouts are eaten after 2–3 days with the seed; microgreens grow in a medium until the leaves open and are cut above the roots.
Can I grow moong in summer?
Yes — moong likes warmth (20–32°C) and is one of the quickest trays.
