Rack With Grow Lights: How Many Lights per Shelf

Each light is mounted under a shelf to light the trays on the shelf below, so every shelf except the top one is a growing shelf. A 5-shelf rack gives you 4 lit growing shelves, a 6-shelf rack gives 5 and a 7-shelf rack gives 6. The top shelf stays free for storage, seed soaking or blackout trays.

We use white full-spectrum LED grow bars made for microgreens: ₹531 for a 3 ft bar and ₹637 for a 4 ft bar, including GST, with connectors, cable ties and clamps. A 4 ft bar draws 18W, is IP54 rated (dust and splash resistant) and has an aluminium body that stays cool on the shelf. Bars link together with connectors, so each shelf runs as one line.

A mobile rack with lights: because every rack comes on lockable wheels, the complete lit rack can be moved for cleaning, rearranged as your space changes or rolled closer to a power point. Already have lights? You can choose to source your own in the planner and buy the rack alone.

Delivery & Order Process

Rack prices shown in the planner include 18% GST.
Racks are dispatched through VRL Logistics to the nearest suitable VRL warehouse based on your pincode.
Rack freight is paid separately and is typically estimated at approximately ₹600–₹700 per rack.
Customer pickup is required from the VRL warehouse.
Grow lights and trays are shipped separately as per actual delivery charges.
Your equipment requirement is reviewed before the final order is confirmed.
